Guide Dogs Maidstone are looking for a volunteer Merchandise Coordinator who will be responsible for ordering and looking after Guide Dogs merchandise for our local Fundraising group. Ideally you will have good organisational skills, have a vehicle to transport the merchandise, and have space in the house/garage to store it. You’ll be part of our wonderful Maidstone Fundraising Group and will get to meet lots of new people in the role.

In this role you will be responsible for ordering and looking after Guide Dogs merchandise. We rely on volunteers like you to help us improve the lives of people with sight loss. Your support will include:

  • Ordering and storing merchandise stock within your home, ensuring to check and price goods when received.
  • Organising merchandising stalls in your community to sell Guide Dogs branded merchandise.
  • Maintaining appropriate stock levels and completing end‑of‑year stock takes.

Activities you will be doing:

  • Administration
  • Driving (must have full driving licence)
  • Fundraising

What skills are required for this role:

  • Basic IT skills – internet & email
  • Teamwork

Ideally you will:

  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to use and have access to email.
  • Have good organisational skills.
  • Have an eye for display/merchandising.
  • Have a vehicle to transport the merchandise.
  • Have space in the house to store the merchandise.

You’ll be an integral member of the Maidstone Fundraising group and will meet lots of new people, and attend a variety of fundraising events.

Time Commitment: Variable – a couple of hours here and there, and more when attending events.
