Leading on fundraising and generating monies in a variety of ways including organising events.

We are seeking candidates who have been more involved in the event organisation aspect of fundraising to lead on fundraising for the Group either as a Board member or not, reporting to the Chairman of Trustees.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a sound overall knowledge of various fundraising income streams.
  • Ideally have experience in making Trusts and Grant applications.
  • Be creative – willing to explore new fundraising ideas.
  • Be proactive in seeking new opportunities.
  • Ensure appropriate publicity through a variety of physical, public and social media routes.

Required Skills:

  • Reading keen to make a difference; flexible; willing to devote time and effort including attending promotional events; self-driven and with good team skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience of volunteering; awareness of the positive impact RDA activities can have on people’s lives.

Contributing to and enabling the provision of new opportunities for disabled children and adults from the local area and a diverse range of volunteering roles.

Expanding your network, and broadening your knowledge and awareness of living with disability.

Time Commitment:

Fundraising activities can be fitted in around individual’s commitments. There will be specific times when there are events, but outside of these time for research, networking and promoting the organisation, as well as developing materials to support fundraising can be done when most convenient.
