Help isolated adults feel more connected and supported through letter writing, writing postcards and/or telephone calls.

Role Purpose

Provide companionship and social contact to isolated adults. Help people feel connected to their local community. Offer befriending in one or more ways: face‑to‑face, phone, letter writing, groups, dog walking.

Key Tasks

  • Build friendly, supportive relationships.
  • Keep simple records of contact (training provided).
  • Optional: help with events/activities and help develop the service with AVC.
