Volunteer at unit meetings, getting messy, meeting new people & running activities that help girls discover their potential. Volunteer directly with young people, choose to work with girls in Rainbows, Brownies, Guides or Rangers. Unit meetings are usually about 1‑1.5 hr once a week. A perfect fit if you want to support girls on a regular basis, see them grow, get stuck into adventurous (often messy!) activities and develop great relationships with girls & volunteers.
Detailed Description
- Unit leader: Be an inspiring role model to girls and young women – and have a lot of fun in the process. As unit leader, you’ll run the unit, lead a team of volunteers, and plan and deliver a programme of activities. You’ll be supported to complete our Leadership Development Programme and receive training on everything from planning to child safety.
- Unit helper: Have plenty of fun assisting the leader. Help to plan and deliver meetings, events and activities. Contact your local area directly.
