Welcome to KFC. Home of the real ones. We sell the world’s best chicken. Seriously. And we’ve done it since 1939, when the idea of crispy, original recipe chicken took Kentucky by storm. Now, we’re proud to serve 1000+ communities across the UK and Ireland, bringing the grit, pride and iconic reputation that we started with, all those years ago.
Across the Restaurant Support Centre (RSC), we come to work to be ourselves, and to make something of ourselves. We want to see our potential go that little bit further, as part of one of the world’s most iconic brands.
The Team: Our Marketing team is a 50-strong crew of bold thinkers, culture shapers and creative doers - from Brand and Digital to Strategy, Food Quality and Innovation. We’re here to keep KFC at the heart of culture across the UK & Ireland, blending our iconic roots with fresh, fearless ideas that connect with real people. We don’t just make ads - we build love, drive growth, and stay one step ahead of what’s next.
ABOUT THE ROLE: As our Insight Manager, you’ll be the voice of the customer and the truth behind the numbers. You’ll help us really understand what’s happening in the market right now - and spot where the next big opportunities are coming from. You’ll balance today vs tomorrow: optimising performance in the here and now, while shaping the insights that fuel future growth. You’ll sit in our Insight Hub within the Strategy & Innovation Team, part of an award-winning Marketing team at one of the UK’s biggest, boldest and most-loved brands. If you love data, love digging into what makes people tick, and love being part of a high-performing team that backs each other - this one’s for you.
WHAT WILL YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING?
- Turning Insight into Impact: Lead ad hoc qualitative and quantitative research, partnering with agencies and internal teams from brief to debrief. Connect the dots between tracking data, past research, market insight and commercial performance to answer real business questions. Create clear, compelling insight outputs — decks, dashboards and summaries that turn data into action.
- Market & Competitor Smarts: Work with agencies to track market and competitor performance, helping shape commercial strategy. Keep a close eye on competitor pricing, promotions, launches, brand activity and product ranges. Triangulate multiple data sources to uncover trends, risks and growth opportunities.
- Brand Health & Customer Understanding: Analyse brand health and perception data (YouGov, Savanta or similar) to build a single, trusted view of brand performance. Make sure the customer voice is loud and clear in decision-making.
- Strategic Support: Feed insight into big strategic moments, including the annual brand planning cycle. Partner closely with Marketing, Commercial Finance, Operations and Menu teams so insight isn’t just interesting — it’s used. Keep everything anchored to long-term, customer-first business goals.
WHAT WE LOVE FROM YOU:
- EXPERIENCE: 5+ years’ experience working in insight or analytics teams. Hands-on experience with brand tracking tools (YouGov, Savanta or similar). Strong analytical capability across multiple data sets — brand, market, pricing and competitor data. Confident Excel skills (pivots, lookups, data manipulation). Experience leading ad hoc qual and quant research projects end to end. Proven ability to bring the customer voice into the heart of the business. A natural storyteller who can turn data into insight people actually act on.
ABOUT YOU: You’re data-driven, not data-blind - you use insight to inform decisions, not replace judgement. You challenge the status quo and aren’t afraid to shake things up when yesterday’s answers won’t win tomorrow. You can simplify the complex and turn insight into commercial reality. You roll up your sleeves, get stuck in, and deliver — not just recommend. You build strong, trusted relationships and thrive as part of a total team. You’re curious about customers and confident communicating what really matters.
And you’re also:
- A genuine team player
- A self-starter with energy, curiosity and adaptability
- Hungry to learn and thrive in a small, mighty team
- A practical problem-solver with strong commercial instincts
- Obsessed with pace, quality and getting things done
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift
What’s in it for you: We offer benefits that make your life that little bit easier — because we know the juggle is real. From flexible, hybrid working to Fri-Yay early finishes and Live Well Days, we’ve created a package that supports the real you, in and out of work.
- Hybrid working from our Woking RSC (just 24 mins from London)
