Job Summary: Somerset Community College is accepting applications for a Financial Specialist II position.
Job Duties:
- Audit daily cashiering activity, resolve posting errors, process daily Electronic Funds Transfers.
- Process accounts payable vouchers and maintain files in audit ready status.
- Serve as local auditor to process travel reimbursement requests.
- Enter utility data into state portal to monitor and track energy savings measures.
- Complete audits of programs and offices assigned cash handling responsibilities.
- Serve as backup for the Purchasing and Payables functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree (Business or related field) from a regionally accredited college or university and four years of related experience, or equivalent. Related experience to include accounts payable, computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Good oral and written communication skills are also required.
Preferred Qualifications: At least five years of documented experience in business and financial activity, such as banking, accounting, purchasing, etc.
