Somerset Community College's Career and Technical Department invites applications for part-time CDL Instructor positions. This part-time position will be responsible for CDL-A range and road instruction, monitoring and documenting student progress and attendance.
Job Duties:
- Provide instruction so the students are well-educated and able to pass their written CDL-A permit test, as well as their skills and road tests.
- Emphasize safety concepts, principles and procedures.
- Help ensure that the trucks are safe, clean and well maintained.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of over-the-road experience with a standard transmission.
- Class-A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience.
Additional Skills Requested:
- Must be able to work as part of a team and must value collaboration.
- Possess good teaching and organisation skills.
- Able to communicate effectively both in verbal and written expression.
- Possess an educational philosophy that is compatible with the mission of the community college.
