We are seeking a Pastoral Mentor to join the Trust.

The role is based at Kenton School and supports students from Kenton and Studio West, working closely with the Aspire team that provides a reduced, bespoke timetable for KS4 and KS3 students on long‑term and turnaround placements.

Responsibilities

  • Support all teachers and staff, including the schools' AP, as part of a professional behaviour support team through individual and group interventions.
  • Help raise standards of pupil achievement and undertake a range of teaching and learning activities under the professional direction and supervision of the AP Lead/Manager, in line with the school's policies and procedures.
  • Assist the AP Lead/Manager and the team in providing pastoral support to all students.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Understanding of the barriers to learning for children and young people and a working knowledge of strategies to overcome them.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form effective, professional relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability and flexibility to adapt to ensure the needs of all students are met.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding
