Freelance Site Agent (Water Sector) Location: York Area Start Date: Late Dec 2025 / Early Jan 2026 Duration: 12 months Our client, a leading Civil Engineering Contractor, is seeking an experienced and proactive Freelance Site Agent to join their team on an upcoming Yorkshire Water framework project. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Civils side of Water: Concrete, Drainage, Water Treatment, Reservoirs etc. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient project delivery. • Maintain full compliance with H&S standards, company procedures, and project deadlines. • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and on-site teams to achieve project milestones. • Implement and monitor quality assurance and control measures to uphold high standards. • Produce/maintain accurate documentation; progress reports, site diaries, and H&S records. • Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively to keep the project on track. • Promote a collaborative and positive working environment focused on delivering excellence. ABOUT YOU • Proven experience as a Site Agent (or similar) within the Water / Civil Engineering sector. • Strong track record in Civils, Concrete, Drainage, WTW, Reservoirs etc. • Excellent working knowledge of H&S regulations and site management best practices. • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Competent with project management systems and reporting tools. • Holds valid CSCS card and relevant site qualifications (SMSTS, First Aid, etc.).
