The Company: An employee focused, non-corporate, national project and building consultancy with one of the largest Liverpool based team of MRICS Building Surveyors. Due to continued success in delivering successfully in the public sector, they have already grown the team by an additional 3 hires in building surveying this year and are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor (ideally MRICS chartered, open to those working through the APC as they have a large team of support to mentor the right individual through the submission process) to spearhead and facilitate their next phase of growth.
The Role: Seeking a client facing Senior Building Surveyor to deliver projects within a largely public sector client base. Supported by their own in house design team, the focus of instructions will be design and contract administration of new build, extension, refurbishments with some building survey/professional service work.
Main duties include:
- Pre‑Acquisition, Condition and Building Surveys
- Design and use of Auto CAD (although most CAD work will be done by Architectural Technicians)
- Project procurement through the RIBA work stages
- Preparing documents for tender and advising on appointing contractors, designers and procurement routes
- Preparing scheme designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works
- Advising clients on schemes and projects and determining requirements by carrying out feasibility studies and budget costings
- Project management of schemes from inception through to completion
- Contract administration (Predominantly JCT)
