About the Company
A privately owned, Liverpool‑based SME with ambitious vision for growth, seeking a commercially driven Area General Manager to lead their Liverpool hotel portfolio (3) and overall responsibility of staff. As part of an independent business, you’ll benefit from working collaboratively with company Directors, fast decision‑making, and the freedom to innovate without corporate constraints. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives on driving revenue, shaping strategy, and creating new opportunities. Your influence will be visible, valued, and central to the future success of the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Lead day‑to‑day operations across all the Liverpool hotel portfolio, ensuring consistency and excellence. Innovate to implement efficient operating procedures and drive commercial success. Provide strong on‑site leadership with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
- Commercial Performance & Growth: Own the commercial performance of all properties, driving revenue and profit. Analyse and act on KPIs, including driving occupancy. Develop and execute strategies to increase weekday and off‑peak business. Work closely with sales and revenue teams to optimise pricing, distribution, and demand generation.
- Collaboration With Directors & Stakeholders: Work in close partnership with company Directors to shape commercial strategy and long‑term growth plans. Present performance insights, opportunities, and recommendations directly to senior stakeholders.
- Team Leadership & Culture: Recruit, train, and retain high‑performing individuals. Set clear expectations and manage performance through structured reviews.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgets, forecasting, and cost control across all sites. Ensure payroll efficiency aligned with business levels and operational needs. Deliver financial targets and contribute to long‑term strategic planning.
- Guest Experience Excellence: Ensure a consistently high‑quality guest journey across all properties. Use guest feedback and review insights to drive improvements.
- Compliance & Brand Standards: Ensure compliance with all health & safety, licensing, and legal requirements across all sites.
