The Opportunity:
Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for a full-time Network Occupancy Coordinator (Network Planner) on behalf of a business that is based in the Walsall area. You will be employed for a minimum of 6 months and it is quite likely the contract will be extended or will become permanent.
This company has a turnover of circa 250 million pounds and has been operating for over 30 years. As a Network Planner, you will be working on the Area 9 National Highways Contract, supporting the National Highways team in processing and coordinating Network Occupancy.
Please note, after 1 month of being employed, you will be able to work on a hybrid basis, which will involve working from home 2 days a week.
Salary and Benefits:
- A salary of £29,000 - £34,000

Your New Role as the Network Planner:
- Manage, analyse and coordinate all requests, notices and permits for network occupancy, including all internal and third party works on the network as the Works Receiver.
- Ensure compliance against NOMs accuracy and all roadworks have on/off times.
- Manage, analyse and coordinate all requests within the NOMs (street works system).
- Provide feedback and guidance on requests, notices and permits for network occupancy.
- Ensure compliance on behalf of National Highways for GM702.
- Manage communications regarding booking confirmation, rejections or variations, and validate bookings with National Highways before publishing.
Experience and Skills Required to Apply:
- Knowledge of Traffic Management and Street Works (desirable)
- Knowledge of Highways maintenance (desirable)
- Strong planning and organisation ability (essential)
- Strong attention to detail (essential)
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines in an organised way (essential)
- Proficient in MS software (essential)
