Freelance Site Engineer in Stockton-on-Tees for Drainage and External Works with an immediate start, contracted until November 2026. My client is looking for a Site Engineer for a long-term contract on a major steel frame construction project in Stockton-on-Tees. This is an excellent opportunity to secure work through to November 2026 on a well-run project with a respected principal contractor.
The Role
Working as part of the site delivery team, you will be responsible for the setting out and engineering of drainage and external works, ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely and to programme. There may also be some involvement in the Steel Frame and External Envelope.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out drainage and external works.
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records.
- Carrying out quality assurance checks.
- Ensuring work is completed in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Liaising with the Site Manager, subcontractors and project team.
- Supporting the successful delivery of the project programme.
- Maintaining high health and safety standards on site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on construction or civil engineering projects.
- Previous experience setting out drainage and external works.
- Competent using Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- CSCS Card.
