The client, a leading civil engineering and building contractor operating across Scotland, is looking to appoint a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor. This strategic role offers a hands-on opportunity to oversee the commercial success of varied and complex projects, delivering work that shapes communities across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist in the financial management and reporting on major civil and commercial contracts
– Prepare and assess bills of quantities, valuations, and subcontract agreements
– Monitor and manage cost control procedures, ensuring profitability targets are met
– Provide commercial support and guidance to operational teams throughout the project lifecycle
– Negotiate contracts and liaise confidently with clients, subcontractors, and consultants

What You Bring:

– Demonstrable experience within a civil engineering or main contracting environment
– Robust understanding of NEC and JCT contracts and their practical application
– Detail-oriented with strong analytical and commercial judgment
– Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualification
– Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset
