Senior Commercial Manager / Project Commercial Director London / Southeast £110,000 plus company package Tier 1 Main contractor We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager / Project Commercial Director to join one of the UK's largest contractors working as part of one the largest construction projects in the Southeast of England. This Senior Commercial Manager / Project Commercial Director role is working as part of the wider commercial function overseeing a large package of works. The business is a leader in civil engineering and infrastructure sector. This Senior Commercial role will be working as part of the Senior Commercial Team on a £25bn project. This scheme will be over 10 year period but my client has plenty of opportunities in the area following on from this. The role will be overseeing the overall commercial packages for large packages of works. Role Purpose: Our client is looking for candidates with experience in managing all commercial aspects of the scheme and leading a team. Duties: • Understanding of disputes resolution including options, structure, techniques, experts etc. • Application of legislation and ability to liaise with legal experts. • Manage preparation of Estimates & Tender submissions including the interpretation of specifications & preambles • Representation of the financial and contractual interests to the employer and/or client in progress meetings • Co-ordination of buying, accounts, production control/planning, supply chain management & procurement techniques, estimating & surveying functions. • Management and reporting of Commercial Risk and Opportunity. • Management of disallowed cost • Provide commercial input to Buildability and Value Engineering reviews. • Review tenders & cost data. • Co-ordinate the commercial team to ensure programme issues are identified and actioned. • Manage the preparation and articulation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports. • Manage the feedback of commercial data to Planning, Estimating, Marketing and Sales • Lead commercial aspects with Customer and stakeholders. • Establish client supply chain requirements & advise on alternative forms of contract & procurement arrangements. • Formulation and management of plans for resource procurement.
