Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor

Kenton Black are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor in Aberdeen on a permanent basis. This client is a leader in premium homebuilding. Key Responsibilities: – Manage the financial and contractual aspects of residential developments to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.
– Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
– Monitor and control project costs, preparing accurate forecasts and reports for stakeholders.
– Conduct valuations and certify payments to contractors and suppliers in line with agreed terms.
– Provide detailed cost analyses, risk assessments, and solutions to maintain project efficiency.
– Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure effective communication and delivery of objectives.
– Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to enhance project outcomes.
– Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and supply chain partners.
– Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, health and safety standards, and company policies.
– Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous development and excellence. Key Requirements: – Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
– Proven experience in a similar role within the residential construction or homebuilding sector.
– Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage costs effectively.
– Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
– In-depth knowledge of contracts, procurement, and relevant building legislation.
– Proficiency in using financial management tools and software.
– Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
