Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks & Infrastructure Location: Lincolnshire Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (PAYE or LTD) Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum (DOE) + Company Benefits About the Company Our client is a leading groundworks and infrastructure contractor with an annual turnover in excess of £100 million, delivering large-scale residential infrastructure and groundwork packages for many of the UK's leading housebuilders and developers. With a reputation for technical excellence, commercial strength, and high-quality project delivery, the business has established itself as a key player within the residential infrastructure sector. Due to continued growth and a substantial pipeline of secured projects, they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Lincolnshire. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to join a highly successful contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of groundworks and infrastructure projects, ensuring financial performance, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery. Working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers, and Operational teams, you will play a key role in managing projects from procurement through to final account. Key Responsibilities • Manage the commercial aspects of groundworks and infrastructure projects • Maximise contract profitability and support the achievement of commercial objectives • Prepare and negotiate interim valuations, variations, and final accounts • Produce accurate monthly CVRs, forecasts, and cash flow reports • Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve margins • Manage subcontract procurement and subcontractor accounts • Provide commercial support to operational teams throughout project delivery • Identify and implement value engineering opportunities • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners • Ensure accurate commercial records and reporting are maintained Skills & Experience Required • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, infrastructure, or civil engineering • Strong understanding of residential infrastructure packages including roads, drainage, foundations, and external works • Excellent commercial awareness and contractual understanding • Experience managing projects and subcontractor accounts • Strong negotiation and communication skills • Experience producing CVRs, forecasts, and financial reports • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction Management (HNC/HND/Degree preferred) What’s on Offer • Salary up to £75,000 per annum depending on experience • Company car or car allowance • Pension scheme and comprehensive benefits package • Opportunity to join a £100m+ turnover contractor with a strong market reputation • Long-term career progression within a growing commercial team • Stable workload supported by a substantial pipeline of secured projects Apply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion regarding this opportunity
