Base Salary: £50,000-£62,000 + Car + Benefits

Kenton Black are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor in Aberdeen on a permanent basis. The client is a market leading main contractor with commercial new builds within their portfolio, up to £20m.

In your new role as Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial functions across commercial new build projects within the Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire area. Roles/responsibilities Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client, Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work, Perform risk, value management, and cost control, Advise on procurement strategy, Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks, Provide advice on contractual claims, Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use, Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

As a minimum you must have a degree in quantity surveying and managed commercial functions on new build/refurbishment construction projects (£8m+) for a minimum of 5 years. Ideally, you will live within the Aberdeen area and have recent experience within a similar role with a main contractor.
