I’ve partnered with a reputable, boutique CDM and safety Consultancy, looking a driven individual to lead a new offering within their existing set-up. As Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD), you will be an experienced CDM Consultant, Designer, Surveyor or Project Manager with a demonstrable track record in Design Safety. The role will help implement the new duty holder roles created under the Building Safety Act 2022 and The Building Regulations etc. (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2023. Key responsibilities include: • Provide Principal Designer (Building Regulations) and Client Advisor services to their clients. • Assist in growing the function to build a team dedicated to this arena • Chairing online and in person workshops with designers and design sub-contractors, to assist with compliance roles of the duty holder • Delivering training for other team members to train them in building regulation compliance and management • Training and development of others to carry out building regulations compliance checks and management. • Provide consultancy advice and Client advisor services around the Building Safety Act to clients Key competencies include: • Candidates should have a design or similar construction/building-led qualification • Strong people management and leadership skills • Strong knowledge base including Building Regulations Approved Documents and design management including RIBA Plan of Work Stages • Commercial acumen and genuine desire to grow and improve a business • Commitment, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic If successful, you will join an expanding business with exciting plans for the future, with an opportunity to make a real impact and build something within a supportive and successful institution.
