Kenton Black are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor. Based in the North of Scotland, the client is a reputable civil engineering contractor recognised for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the region.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the commercial function across a portfolio of civil engineering works.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets.
- Produce bills of quantities.
- Ensure all commercial reporting is delivered on time.
- Monitor project costs and progress, ensuring alignment with agreed budgets, contractual obligations, and programme milestones.
- Procure subcontractors, negotiate terms, and carry out regular site visits to support project delivery.
- Provide commercial insight to support cost-effective strategies and proactively manage commercial risks.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' NEC contract type experience working on construction or civil engineering projects.
- Hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
- Your employment history must be supported by positive working references.
