They are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting the successful delivery of multiple residential developments, following a period of success and growth.
The Role: An opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor with experience in Residential Groundworks to join a reputable and growing contractor. The successful candidate will oversee all commercial and financial aspects of groundworks projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and efficiency from tender to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
- Conduct take-offs and prepare accurate tender submissions.
- Prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts with clients.
- Monitor and report on project costs, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Liaise closely with site management teams and clients to resolve commercial queries.
- Ensure all documentation and records are maintained in line with company standards.
- Support commercial reporting and contribute to monthly financial reviews.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the groundworks or residential civil engineering sector.
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).
