We are currently seeking experienced Freelance Site Engineers and Section Engineers for ongoing civil engineering projects across the Midlands.
Role Overview
You will be supporting the delivery of major infrastructure works, with a strong focus on earthworks and structures. Roles are site-based and require hands-on engineering capability and strong setting-out experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for earthworks and structural elements
- Managing day-to-day site engineering activities
- Producing and checking RAMS
- QA documentation and as-built records
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and designers
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Section Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Strong background in earthworks and structures
- Competent with setting-out equipment (GPS, Total Station)
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS (preferred for Section Engineer roles)
