Senior Site Engineer – Residential Groundworks Location: Leicestershire Salary: Up to £75,000 (DOE) + Package

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential groundworks contractor for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join their growing team based in Leicestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to take the next step in their career, working on a range of residential groundworks projects for leading national and regional housebuilders across the Midlands.

The Role

As a Senior Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of residential groundworks projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and project managers while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities . Setting out and surveying for residential groundworks projects.

. Managing site engineering activities from project inception through to completion.

. Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built surveys.

. Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and health & safety requirements.

. Liaising with clients, site managers, subcontractors, and the wider project team.

. Supporting project planning and resolving technical issues on site.

. Mentoring and supporting junior engineers.

. Requirements

. Proven experience as a Senior Site Engineer, or an experienced Site Engineer ready to step into a senior role.

. Strong background in residential groundworks, ideally working on housing developments.

. Experience working with national or regional housebuilders is advantageous.

. Proficient in setting out using Leica or Trimble equipment.

. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

. Excellent communication and leadership skills.

. Full UK driving licence.
