Kenton Black are recruiting for a temporary Site Manager vacancy in the Tayside/Angus region. Our client, a respected and well-established house builder, is seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to support the delivery of high-quality new-build housing developments. This 12-month contract will commence at the end of February, offering the opportunity to play a key role in the successful completion of residential projects across the area. NHBC housing knowledge is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations on new-build housing developments
- Ensure compliance with NHBC standards, building regulations, and quality benchmarks
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to maintain programme and productivity
- Monitor site health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain accurate site documentation
- Oversee material deliveries, logistics, and site housekeeping standards
- Carry out regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets specification and customer expectations
- Report progress, risks, and issues to senior management with clear and timely updates
- Support defect management, handovers, and customer care processes
What You Bring:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the house-building sector
- Strong and demonstrable knowledge of NHBC standards (mandatory)
- Excellent understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site management
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain high-quality delivery under pressure
- Solid understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within Tayside/Angus
