Our client is a leading infrastructure services contractor delivering large-scale projects across the utilities, energy and transportation sectors. Working on critical nationwide programmes, they provide end to end solutions from design and installation through to maintenance and asset management. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued investment in sustainable infrastructure, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Due to continued project growth, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a major infrastructure programme in the North West.
This is a hybrid working position, offered initially on a 6 month contract with a strong possibility of extension. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of works from inception through to completion, acting as a key interface between operational teams, stakeholders and the end client.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in utilities, energy, civil engineering or infrastructure projects and proven NEC contract experience.
- Full commercial management of infrastructure projects.
- Act as the primary commercial liaison with the end client.
- Administer change control processes and commercial variations.
- Produce and maintain project forecasts and cost reporting.
- Prepare end-of-life financial forecasts and final account projections.
- Complete month-end reporting and commercial reviews.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Procure and manage subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with operational and delivery teams to maximise project performance.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting documentation.
Minimum 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience.
Strong background within utilities, energy, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Experience managing client-facing commercial activities.
Strong commercial reporting and forecasting skills.
Advanced MS Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Familiarity with commercial/accounting systems.
Strong understanding of cost control and financial management.
Contract administration.
