The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to take ownership of the purchasing function within a growing residential groundworks contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities across multiple projects, developing supplier relationships, negotiating favourable terms, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials, plant, and subcontract services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the procurement function across multiple residential groundworks projects
  • Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontractor packages in line with project requirements
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing structures, and framework arrangements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Work closely with Commercial, Contracts, and Operational teams to ensure procurement requirements are met
  • Manage supplier performance and ensure quality and delivery standards are maintained
  • Produce procurement reports and cost analyses for senior management
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and procurement policies
  • Support project teams with material scheduling and supply chain planning
