With a strong regional presence and a reputation for reliability, quality, and safety, they continue to secure repeat business with key clients.Due to ongoing growth and a healthy pipeline of projects, they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with strong groundworks experience to join a stable and growing contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of multiple groundwork and construction projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and efficient delivery.Key Responsibilities* Manage budgets, cost plans, and commercial reporting across multiple projects* Measure and value groundworks packages including foundations, drainage, and infrastructure* Prepare and agree interim valuations, variations, and final accounts* Monitor costs, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure financial control* Procure subcontractors and manage subcontract accounts* Liaise closely with site teams, clients, and suppliers to resolve commercial matters* Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation* Identify and implement value engineering opportunitiesSkills & Experience Required* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks and/or civil engineering* Strong understanding of residential groundworks packages (roads, drainage, foundations, externals)* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously* Good knowledge of contracts (JCT/NEC beneficial)* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)* Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)What’s on Offer* Competitive salary depending on experience* Company car or car allowance* Pension scheme and additional benefits* Opportunity to join a reputable regional contractor with a strong pipeline of work* Clear career progression within a supportive commercial team
