My client is a well-established and rapidly growing construction and development business with an impressive portfolio of projects across the residential, mixed-use, student accommodation and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to join their team based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional who wants to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex, high-value construction projects while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

THE ROLE

As Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring project programmes from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with project teams, site management and senior stakeholders, you will provide strategic planning support to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Producing detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject
  • Developing tender, pre-construction and live project programmes
  • Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks and delays
  • Preparing programme updates, reports and recovery plans
  • Working closely with operational teams to optimise project delivery
  • Supporting project teams with planning methodologies and best practices
  • Participating in project reviews and stakeholder meetings
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of planning processes across the business

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a Senior Planner or Planner role within the construction industry
  • Strong background working on large-scale building projects
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject
  • Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Relevant construction qualification or degree preferred
