Our Client: Our client is a leading engineering and delivery organisation, responsible for delivering technically complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. They are currently seeking an experienced Site Delivery Lead – Civils to join their senior leadership team and drive the delivery of major civil projects safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
The Role: This is a senior leadership position, reporting to the Site Delivery Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle delivery of a section of the organisation’s civil projects, including capital works, major civils, enabling works, networks, and buildings. You will lead senior managers and a matrix of multi-disciplinary teams, including quality, safety, and supplier functions, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage delivery teams to execute project plans in line with strategic objectives.
- Oversee the delivery of capital works, major civils, networks, and building projects.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams and ensure effective collaboration across quality, safety, and supplier functions.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and report to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, CDM regulations, and company policies.
- Promote continuous improvement, lessons learned, and best practice across all delivery activities.
- Maintain effective stakeholder engagement and communication throughout projects.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing EPCM projects, multi-disciplinary teams, and complex contracts (NEC/FIDIC).
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, high-integrity construction techniques, and safety culture.
- Skilled in project management tools, cost, schedule, risk control, and earned value management.
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management; Chartered Engineer (CEng) preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to make clear decisions under pressure and drive projects to completion.
