Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Regional Civils team on a major coastal defence project in Norfolk.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a high-profile infrastructure scheme that will play a vital role in protecting local communities, businesses and infrastructure from the ongoing risks of coastal erosion and flooding.
Working alongside an experienced and collaborative project team, you'll support the successful commercial delivery of this complex civil engineering project while gaining exposure to challenging engineering solutions, stakeholder engagement and long-term infrastructure delivery.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the commercial delivery of a major civil engineering project. Key responsibilities include:
Managing project costs and commercial performance.
Supporting procurement and subcontract management.
Preparing valuations, forecasts and financial reports.
Working closely with project teams to achieve commercial objectives.
Managing contracts, variations and change control.
About You
You'll have: A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering or infrastructure.
Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, collaborative approach.
NEC contract experience (desirable).
