Freelance Health & Safety Manager (Part-Time β 3 Days per Week)
Location: Sheffield & surrounding area
Contract Type: Freelance / Part-Time (3 days per week)
Day Rate: Β£300βΒ£350 per day (DOE)

My Client are an award-winning, design-led housebuilder delivering unique, high-quality homes across Sheffield and South Yorkshire. Focused on sustainable communities and innovative urban living, using modern construction techniques.
THE ROLE
I am recruiting for an experienced Freelance Health & Safety Manager to oversee and support health and safety compliance across our new build residential developments in the Sheffield region.
Working closely with the construction management team, you will ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee site safety management across multiple live developments
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and toolbox talks
- Produce and review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S legislation and CDM regulations
- Support project teams with incident investigations and corrective actions
- Provide ongoing training, guidance and updates to site teams and subcontractors
- Report on KPIs and maintain H&S records and documentation
REQUIREMENT:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or higher) required
- Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 and relevant HSE guidance
- Proven experience within residential new build housing developments
- Confident communicator, able to influence and engage site teams positively
- Self-motivated and organised, capable of managing multiple sites and priorities
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
