I am currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Groundworks Site Manager to work with a well-established groundworks sub-contractor on a residential development in Harrogate. This role is strictly roads & sewers and deep drainage - no plot works involved.
THE ROLE
- Day-to-day site management of roads, sewers and deep drainage works
- Managing groundworks gangs and coordinating subcontractors
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
- Liaising with the main contractor, engineers and local authorities
- Overseeing quality control, RAMS and site documentation
- Maintaining strong H&S standards on site
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Groundworks Site Manager on residential infrastructure projects
- Strong background in roads, sewers and deep drainage
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold preferred)
- First Aid at Work
- Good understanding of NHBC / local authority standards
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Able to work autonomously and drive works forward
