Kenton Black Finance is recruiting for a part-time or full-time Finance Assistant for a business based in the Ulverston/Barrow area. The company has a turnover of approximately £14 million and has been operating for over 40 years. The role offers flexible working hours and a hybrid work model (2 days from home per week).
Your role as the Finance Assistant includes:
- Assist in creating new customer accounts, ensuring all information is correct for sales and finance reporting, and maintain ongoing amendments.
- Assist in credit checking new and existing accounts to establish suitable credit limits, ensuring insurance is in place where necessary.
- Handle customer and representative queries.
- Create and amend new supplier accounts.
- Process all invoices and credits, including sorting, coding, and obtaining authorization.
- Process manual purchase orders.
- Check supplier statements monthly and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Provide support to other finance team members as needed.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in the finance department.
- Adhere to the company\'s values, policies, procedures, and objectives.
