A leading multi-million pound civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the West Midlands. Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out for a range of civil engineering works.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
- Carrying out quality assurance checks and maintaining accurate site records.
- Producing and maintaining as-built surveys.
- Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Essential Experience
- Applicants must have proven experience in drainage installation (surface water, foul water, and associated infrastructure).
- Footpaths, kerbing, and external works.
- Concrete and structural works, including reinforced concrete structures, retaining walls, culverts, or similar civils infrastructure.
- Setting out using Leica or Trimble equipment.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Working on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Requirements:
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Valid CSCS card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
- Full UK driving license.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
