Kenton Black are seeking a permanent Senior Site Manager to join their client’s expanding team in the Tayside region. The company, a leading Tier 1 main contractor with an outstanding reputation across the UK construction sector, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of major new build and refurbishment projects valued up to £100m. The initial project will involve managing a prestigious bespoke residential and commercial mixed-use development in St Andrews. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected contractor, working closely with senior project and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day site operations of large-scale construction and refurbishment projects from commencement through to completion.
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with programme, budget, quality and safety requirements.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across all site activities.
- Develop and implement short-term programmes, monitoring progress and proactively addressing project risks.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor performance, ensuring works are completed to specification and programme requirements.
- Liaise regularly with clients, consultants, stakeholders and senior management to provide project updates and resolve issues.
- Ensure all project documentation, records and reporting requirements are maintained accurately and submitted on time.
- Drive quality assurance processes, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standards.
- Support the project team in identifying efficiencies and delivering successful project outcomes.
What You Bring
- Proven experience working as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale construction projects with a Tier 1 main contractor.
- Strong background delivering build and refurbishment developments on projects valued up to £100m.
- Experience managing complex residential, commercial or mixed-use construction schemes.
- Black CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid certification are essential.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, health and safety legislation and quality management procedures.
- Ability to lead site teams effectively whilst maintaining programme and budget objectives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Applicants must currently be based within the Tayside region.
