Are you a technically strong Civil Engineering professional with proven leadership experience in design delivery? Our client — a major infrastructure contractor with a strong track record across highways, rail, flood & coastal defence and industrial projects — is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering design and delivery across a large highways project in Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of high-profile infrastructure delivery, driving design excellence and operational delivery across a major project portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all design and engineering activities on projects, including temporary works and managing external consultants
  • Ensure design compliance, approvals and quality standards are met
  • Lead CDM Principal Designer duties and responsibilities
  • Deliver operationally effective designs on time and within budget
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and subject matter experts across the business
  • Act as the main design point of contact for clients, stakeholders and third parties
  • Drive the adoption and integration of digital technologies across project delivery
  • Support supply chain technical compliance and project risk management

Qualifications

  • You will ideally be an experienced Civil Engineering professional with:
  • Proven experience in civil engineering and construction design, ideally in highways or major infrastructure
  • Strong technical knowledge with a sound understanding of operational delivery and risk management
