I’ve partnered with a leading infrastructure JV on HS2, delivering major assets including bridges, tunnels and viaducts.
They are looking for a H&S Assurance Advisor based in Coventry, covering a stretch of 40km through a mixture of rural and suburban landscapes.
Key responsibilities include
- Providing advice and support on all health and safety related issues to colleagues on site.
- Advising on project compliance with the BBV health and safety management system and relevant UK legislation such as CDM, Work at Height etc.
- Attending site daily to positively engage with colleagues and supply chain regarding health and safety matters.
- Being point of contact for all internal and external H&S assurances
- Ensuring actions from assurances are closed and embedded in to relevant safe systems of work.
- Planning and coordinating Assurance activities
- Supporting project and construction colleagues to deliver safety briefings and safety presentations.
- Review of safe systems of work such as Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure that findings from assurances and incidents are embedded
This is an Assurance led role that requires experience across management systems, providing support across all assurance with internal and external stakeholders.
Key competencies include
- Previous experience in Construction Health and Safety, ideally major infrastructure projects
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- Auditing experience
- Driving licence
