Working apart of a MEP surveying team you will be responsible for providing strategic cost advice on hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data centre developments across the UK and international markets. Advise clients on market capacity, procurement routes, supply chain trends and escalation risks affecting MEP packages within mission-critical environments. Prepare and develop estimates and cost plans for mission-critical data centre projects, covering mechanical, electrical, public health and associated infrastructure systems. Produce estimates throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction delivery. Undertake independent estimate reviews, assurance and challenge activities to validate project costs, assumptions, methodologies and commercial strategies. Develop and maintain cost models for key data centre systems including HV/LV electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, cooling infrastructure, BMS/EPMS, and associated plant and equipment. Support clients in business case development, investment decisions and programme affordability assessments through robust estimating and cost planning services. Support the setup, mobilisation and governance of estimating functions and frameworks for major data centre programmes and portfolios.
