Overview
In this role you will strengthen the Carlisle finance function within a growing, service-based group. You will turn technical accounting into practical outcomes, supporting statutory reporting, budgeting and advisory work across departments. You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance and mentor junior staff, while driving process improvements to sustain robust controls. Responsibilities
- Prepare annual financial statements compliant with accounting standards
- Coordinate and own the annual statutory audit as primary auditor liaison
- Maintain and improve systems and controls to ensure robustness
- Prepare VAT, corporate tax returns, and other statutory filings
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Provide technical accounting advice across departments and build cross-functional relationships
- Mentor and support junior finance staff
- Review and develop finance processes to support continuous improvement
Key requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent experience in audit, tax and compliance
