Freelance Project/Site Manager required for immediate start for a 32 week contract on a Β£4M new build retail store which consists of new build shell and fitout. Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager, you will have full autonomy for the running and managing of the scheme on a daily basis. The project includes a steel portal frame structure with external cladding, glazing, carpark, landscaping, and other associated internal fitout works for cold storage, racking/shelving systems, and counters.
Main duties will involve:
- The daily management of a full complement of subcontract packages
- Monitoring programme and health & safety
- Chairing and running client/subcontractor meetings
- Issuing progress reports
- Identifying and resolving any issues with senior management, client, and client representatives
CSCS Card, SMSTS, and First Aid certificates will be a minimum requirement. Experience delivering steel portal frame projects would be required; added benefit would be prior/current experience working on retail projects.
