Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Rate: £275- £325 per day
The company: Our client is a well-established main contractor delivering high quality schemes across the south of England, operating throughout Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Bristol and Surrey. They work within the commercial, industrial, education and public sector markets, with projects typically ranging from £5m to £40m and a strong reputation for repeat business and reliable delivery.
The role: The client is looking for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support Senior QSs across multiple live contracts, providing hands-on commercial assistance including measurement, subcontract management and cost reporting. The assignments span projects within the South of England, with work expected to run for a minimum of 12 to 18 months, commencing immediately.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing subcontract packages from procurement through to valuations and final accounts.
- Preparing accurate monthly cost reports to support the Senior QS team and maintain project financial control.
- Handling day to day contract administration including change control, payment applications and commercial record keeping.
