The Opportunity: Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for a full-time and permanent Accounts Assistant on behalf of a business that is based in the Blackpool area. This company has a turnover of circa 18 million pounds and has been operating for over 20 years. The Accounts Assistant will play a key role in the finance department, supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and processing financial transactions. Please note, this job is office based.

Salary and Benefits:

  • A salary of £27,000 to £31,000
  • Annual leave - 24 days + bank holidays

Your New Role as the Accounts Assistant:

  • Accounts Payable: Process and manage supplier invoices and payments, reconcile statements and resolve any discrepancies, ensure payment terms are met and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
  • Accounts Receivable: Process sales invoices and manage credit control, follow up on outstanding payments and resolve queries, perform reconciliations and assist with the preparation of monthly reports.
  • General Finance Support: Assist with month-end closing procedures, maintain accurate financial records, provide general support to the Finance Manager as required.

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role (ESSENTIAL)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel (ESSENTIAL)
  • Proficient in finance accounting software (ESSENTIAL)
  • Excellent communication skills (ESSENTIAL)
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities (ESSENTIAL)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team (ESSENTIAL)
