DescriptionSenior Estimator – Civil Engineering & InfrastructureMidlands150,000 p.a. + Bonus + PackageA Rare Opportunity with a Growing Civil Engineering ContractorA highly respected UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to strengthen its pre-construction team.The business is currently experiencing a significant period of sustained growth, supported by a strong order book and a pipeline of major infrastructure and engineering projects across the Midlands.With a long-established reputation for delivering technically complex projects safely and efficiently, the company works across sectors including transport infrastructure, aviation, utilities, highways and major urban developments.This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale civil engineering projects typically ranging from 20m – 150m+ while playing a key role in shaping winning tender strategies.The RoleAs Senior Estimator, you will lead the preparation and submission of competitive tenders for major civil engineering schemes.You will work closely with senior commercial, operational and technical teams to develop robust pricing strategies and successful bids.Key responsibilities include:Leading tender pricing for major civil engineering and infrastructure projectsReviewing technical documentation, drawings and specificationsDeveloping cost plans, pricing strategies and value engineering solutionsManaging the supply chain enquiry and pricing processIdentifying and managing commercial and technical riskPreparing tender adjudication reports and bid presentationsWorking closely with project teams to support the handover from pre-construction to deliveryWhat They’re Looking ForProven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within Civil EngineeringExperience pricing medium to large infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of UK construction contracts and procurement routesExcellent commercial and analytical xsabvtc skillsAbility to lead tenders and coordinate internal bid teamsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsDesirable:Experience with highways, rail, utilities, aviation or major infrastructure schemesDegree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction ManagementWhy This Opportunity Stands OutJoin a contractor currently experiencing strong growthWork on major civil engineering and infrastructure projectsBe part of a well-established business with an excellent reputationClear career progression within a growing pre-construction team150,000 per annum and comprehensive benefits packageFor a confidential discussion about this opportunity, please get in touch with Ben Symonds at Kenton Black, Birmingham!
