The Role: The successful Associate Director (building surveying) will be joining a collaborative national building surveying team (offices nationally). Based out of the Manchester office you will be tasked with servicing clients, predominantly in the North West region with occasional requirements in the North of England and Yorkshire. The team undertake a mix of project and professional service work, for a range of private sector clients, typically retail, shopping sectors, leisure, hospitality, commercial offices.
- Conduct comprehensive property assessments to evaluate structural integrity and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of repair and refurbishment projects.
- Manage construction initiatives, ensuring efficiency, budget control, and timely completion.
- Develop and implement strategies for ongoing building maintenance to prevent costly future issues.
- Provide expert guidance on lease-end obligations for both property owners and tenants.
- Advise on legal and technical aspects of shared structures and boundary agreements.
- Monitor projects to safeguard client interests and ensure compliance with agreed specifications.
- Assess building reinstatement values for insurance purposes following damage or fire incidents.
- Review and approve modification proposals to ensure alterations align with legal and safety standards.
