Location: Coventry

We are currently assisting a privately owned Developer/Contractor located in Coventry. The Managing Director is a well-established property professional in Coventry and has acquired several development sites, including Greenfield and Dilapidated Buildings.

The company is currently working on its first major project with a contract value of £1.1 million. This scheme involves a Remodel & Refurbishment: transforming a dilapidated building into a ground retail unit and 14 one-bedroom apartments on the first floor.

They have secured projects 2 and 3 already, and it is likely they will continue developing sites in the Coventry area for at least the next 5 years.

The MD is seeking his “Right Hand Man”, an Assistant Site Manager who can drive the project forward while ensuring Health & Safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will ensure the project meets specifications and is delivered within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Tracking project progress, identifying potential issues, and reporting to the Managing Director.
  2. Acting as a point of contact between the MD, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  3. Maintaining a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular inspections.
  4. Managing materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project flow.
  5. Ensuring work is completed to the required standards of quality.
