Coventry projects. Groundworks experience is essential! Having worked as a Ground worker would be advantageous.

We are currently assisting a privately owned Developer/Contractor located in Coventry. The Managing Director is a well-established property individual within Coventry and over the years, has acquired a number of development sites, including Greenfield and Dilapidated Buildings.

They are now on site with the first significant project with a contract value of £1.1 million. This scheme comprises a Remodel & Refurbishment: developing a dilapidated building into a ground retail unit and 14 first floor, 1 bedroom apartments. The next project that commences on site starts December 2025 and will comprise the New Build of 2 buildings that will house 24, 1 bedroom apartments. This scheme will be delivered on a greenfield neighboring site that already has planning in place.

The MD is looking for his “Right Hand Man”, an Assistant Site Manager that can drive the project on, whilst adhering to Health & Safety standards. Ultimately an individual that ensures the project meets specification and is delivered within budget/programme.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Track project progress, identify potential issues, and report back to the Managing Director.
  • Act as a point of contact between the MD, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Play a crucial role in maintaining a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular inspections.
  • Managing materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Ensure the work is completed to the required standards of quality.
