Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Up to £45,000 + comprehensive package Regional Civil Engineering Contractor About the Opportunity Our client, a respected and established regional civil engineering contractor, is seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. Operating across Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire, the company delivers a range of infrastructure, highways, groundworks, and public realm projects, and is expanding due to sustained project growth. As the recruitment partner supporting this appointment, we are keen to speak with early-career Quantity Surveyors looking to develop their experience within a supportive, reputable civil engineering environment. The Role The successful candidate will work alongside senior commercial staff to support the financial and contractual control of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with cost planning, measurement, and valuations Supporting the preparation of bills of quantities and tender documentation Assisting with subcontractor procurement, assessment, and management Monitoring site progress, costs, variations, and forecasts Contributing to monthly commercial reports and final accounts Working within NEC or other civil engineering contract forms Collaborating closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients About You: 1–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civil engineering or construction Working towards or holding a relevant qualification (HND/HNC, BSc Quantity Surveying, or equivalent) Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills Organised, proactive, and motivated to progress within the civil engineering sector Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across regional sites What Our Client Offers Salary up to £45,000, depending on experience Attractive package including car or allowance, pension, and other company benefits Clear career progression opportunities Support and funding toward professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) Friendly and collaborative team culture Apply now!
