Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper on behalf of a business that is based in the Chester area. This company delivers clear, concise, jargon free advice, and since 2016 they have been providing a service to clients across the UK. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to support their team, in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The job is permanent and you can work on either a part-time or full-time basis. The benefits include 24 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
Your new role as the Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper:
- Maintain and update financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Preparation of Quarterly VAT Returns
- Communication with clients, to request documents and statements
- Performing day-to-day bank and ledger reconciliations
Experience & Skills required to apply:
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles preferred
- Knowledge of various software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, is an advantage
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Salary and Benefits on offer:
Salary: From £26,000 up to £30,000. 24 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
