Our client, a leading Tier 1 civil engineering main contractor, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a £40m flood alleviation scheme near Derby. Working alongside an experienced section engineer mainly on FRC works with progression into other project areas as works develop. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career and play a key role on this high profile scheme. The initial project with a further two years on the programme will lead to further opportunities within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out complex setting out using modern surveying equipment
- Check and verify works completed by subcontractors
- Prepare and maintain as-built records
- Support quality assurance processes and documentation
- Assist with site briefings and daily coordination
- Provide support to the Section Engineer and wider project team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within heavy civil engineering
- Competent in site engineering processes and documentation when acting as Principal Contractor
- Proficient in the use of surveying equipment such as Total Station, Leica, or Topcon
- Relevant qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field) preferred
- Hold a valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence
