We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Finishing Manager to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor on a high-profile development in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a flagship project with one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 contractors.
Role & Responsibilities
- As Finishing Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing and coordinating all internal and external finishing works to achieve programme, quality and safety targets.
- Overseeing all finishing trades through to successful handover.
- Managing subcontractors, quality control and defect resolution.
- Driving programme against key milestones and reporting progress.
- Coordinating with Site & Project Management teams.
- Ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Managing snagging, commissioning and client handover.
- Maintaining accurate site records and RAMS compliance.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on large residential developments.
- Strong background with Tier 1 main contractors.
- Excellent knowledge of internal fit‑out, façades and finishing packages.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential).
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work to demanding programmes and quality standards.
